Ethan picked out these unsweetened dried pineapple slices from Trader Joe's. I thought they looked a lot like sunflowers.
I made rice with furikake and then the pineapple slice petals on top.
The center is sunflower seeds. Yay for authenticity.
The warm steam from the rice softened the pineapple.
